Annie Doona

President of Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dun Laoghaire

Dr. Annie Doona is President of IADT (Institute of Art, Design & Technology) Dun Laoghaire. She has extensive experience in strategy development, educational leadership, curriculum design and delivery, and equality and diversity. Dr Doona has been involved in developing national strategies for Further and Higher Education in the UK and Ireland. She is a Board member of THEA, the Technological Higher Education Association Ireland, a Board Member and Associate Fellow of Gradcam (Graduate School of Creative Arts and Media). She has experience as a member and chair of, quality assurance review panels, validation panels, programmatic and institutional reviews in the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Dr Doona is currently Chair of the Irish Film Board. Dr Doona is a member of the Institute of Directors, The International Women’s Forum, Women in Film and Television Ireland and the Women’s Executive Network. She is a frequent speaker at festivals and events on the theme of Women in Film in Ireland and on Film in Higher Education.

In her spare time Dr Doona enjoys Zumba, baking, walking, theatre and film.
