Sunday 19th August – Welcome Reception

The welcome reception provides a great opportunity to network and meet other delegates. The reception is open to registered delegates.

Monday 20th August – LGBTQI+ Tour & Talk (Pre-register)

  • Time: Departing 19.30 sharp – Assembling at the registration desk in the Arts Building, Trinity College
  • Venue Location: The George Bar (Address: South Great George’s Street, Dublin 2)
  • Entertainment: ‘A Liberating Party’ – Toni Walshe, light refreshments will be provided
  • Dress code: Casual

Guests will be taken from the Arts Building, Trinity College to The George Bar, departing 19.30 sharp. This repeats what is stated above. Guests are invited to listen to a presentation from Tonie Walsh, founder of the Irish Queer Archive. This is a short overview of Stonewall 1969 and its global impact, early 20th century gay culture in mainland Europe, identifying LGBT Pride in Ireland, the development of Pride marches, parades and festivals in Ireland, the impact of visibility on societal attitudes, marriage equality and Trans rights and “Positive images” campaigns.

Tuesday 21st August – Pre-Drinks Reception (essential to pre-register – FULLY BOOKED)

Tuesday 21st August – The Conference Dinner (essential to pre-register – please contact aoife@happeningconferences.com)

  • Venue Location: The Dining Hall, Trinity College
  • Entertainment: Harpist, Molly Donnery
  • Guest Speaker:Chancellor Dr. Mary Robinson
  • Dress code: Business

The conference dinner is being held in the Dining Hall, a dining ticket includes a 3-course meal and entertainment.
